ALICONA Imaging GmbH is a privately held company working in the field of digital image processing and computer vision. Alicona Imaging GmbH is basically active in two areas, namely industrial machine
vision for quality control purposes in production systems and 3D imaging processing in microscopy applications, especially in SEM. The first product of the company, called MeX, is a software package capable of
performing 3D surface reconstructions from stereoscopic SEM images. MeX can be used, for example, in material testing applications where knowledge about the 3D surface topography of a specimen is of importance and
where more traditional techniques like AFM have reached their limits. MeX is capable of computing surface profiles, roughness, volumes etc. at a microscopic level. Presently, the company has a staff of 6 employees
and it’s headquarters are located in Graz/Austria.
