LEO Elektronenmikroskopie GmbH was founded in 1995 as a joint venture of two companies, Leica and Zeiss, LEO combines extensive know how with experience gained over decades in the field of scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy. The companie’s aim is to meet customers’ requirements through innovative technology and an extensive instrument range – from basic instruments to high-resolution research microscopes. Through the provision of a worldwide sales and service organisation LEO ensures that all users of electron microscopes receive expert advice and assistance.

LEO covers a broad spectrum of applications from health and biology to material research and industry. With “customer specific systems” the company offers solutions for clearly defined tasks. In order to keep pace with the continuing trend for miniaturisation, in particular within the semiconductor industry, LEO technology is designed to meet the most demanding handling, imaging and analysis needs.
