Two former EPFL researchers founded this company in Neuchâtel in 1993. The company develops electromagnetic actuators and controllers for medical, space and industrial applications. Several patents
have been taken and new products commercialized.
In 1999, Micro-Beam has started in collaboration with ISR the development of controllers and high voltage amplifiers specially design for piezo impact drives.
Micro-Beam is interested to pursue its development into the fast growing market of micro-positioning systems and to commercialize dedicated electronics circuitry.
