Point electronic GmbH was founded 1992 in Halle by former employees of the Martin Luther University Halle, Department of Physics. We develop, manufacture and distribute products for scanning electron
microscopie. The main product is a very flexible PC- system for digital image acquisition (WinDISS). Worldwide we have more then 750 WinDISS-installations on different type of SEMs. Other products and services are:
complete renewal of scanning electronics for SEMs, stepping motor control for sample stage and WDS-spectrometer, hard- and software to control WDS-spectrometer and custom-made development of hard- and software for
scientific measurement technology. Point electronic operates from its office in Halle directly to the customers in Germany. For the international marketing we cooperate with about 30 companies worldwide. Point
electronic employs 2 physicists, 2 programmers, 2 developers for hardware and a coordinator for production, installation and service. In 2000 point electronic realized a annual turnover of DM 1.8 Mio. The
majority of our customers comes from the industry.
